Starting a new world, you will get an item to summon Professor Oak. Speak to him and interact with him to receive your starting trainer kit. You will be proposed to become a Pokémon trainer and allowed to choose a starting Pokémon. Starter Pokémon can be from any of the four regions: Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh.

In the world, you will find naturally spawned Pokémon towns. In there, you can find Pokémon Centers - a hub for trainers to rest, heal their pocket monsters, buy and sell items. You can sell Pokémon and unwanted items you've got for coins.

Personal Laboratory: Research fossils and revive ancient Pokémon.

Pokéstops: Find Pokéstops for occasional rewards.

Evolution Stones: Find evolution stones to help your Pokémon reach their final form.

How the battles work

To start a battle, one needs to summon a Pokémon out of the Poké Ball near the wild monster. By performing Crouching plus tapping, a trainer can open the menu to choose the Pokémon's next move. If you successfully defeat an opposing monster, your pet will receive experience. If you lose a battle, your Pokémon will faint and will need to be awakened using a special item or in the Pokémon Center.
