Deep and Darker

The Deeper and Darker mod introduces a perilous new dimension called the Otherside, accessible through the central portal in Ancient Cities.

1. Preparation for the Otherside:

Before delving into the mysterious Otherside, make sure you're well-equipped. Gather the following recommended items:

• Full netherite armor
  
• Enchanted diamond, netherite, or warden weapons and tools
  
• One or more ender chests
  
• Healing potions
  
• Abundant food supply
  
• Golden apples (preferably enchanted)
  
• Building blocks
  
• An inventory of an equipped player
  

Remember, the better your loot, the riskier it is to die. Equip strong armor and weapons to enhance your chances of survival against the menacing monsters of the Otherside.

2. Locating the Portal:

The portal to the Otherside is situated at the center of ancient cities. These portals are surrounded by reinforced deepslate and often guarded by sculk sensors and shriekers. Navigate through ancient cities to discover the gateway to the Otherside.

3. Activating the Portal:

To light the Otherside portal, you'll need the Heart of the Deep, obtained by defeating the Warden. Follow these steps:

• Clear the portal of sculk veins and inner frame obstructions.
  
• Use the Heart of the Deep on reinforced deepslate.
  
• Right-click the frame with the heart to activate the portal.
  

Once through the portal, the Otherside awaits with three distinct biomes to explore. Keep track of the portal's location, as portal frames are limited and found only in Ancient Temple basements.



Structures in the Otherside:
The Otherside features a primary structure—the Ancient Temple. Found in the Otherside Deeplands and the Echoing Forest, the temple consists of various deepslate and sculk stone blocks. Explore its three levels to uncover Ancient Vases, Chests with enchanted books, diamond gear, Echo Shards, and other valuable loot.

Menacing Mobs:
Beware of the inhabitants of the Otherside, including the formidable Warden, the elusive Phantom, Sculk Snapper, Sculk Leech, Shattered, and the eerie Shriek Worm.
