How to Summon the Skeleton King

To summon the Skeleton King, you must first find a Cursed Torch, which is hidden inside ancient city chests. But lighting the torch isn't so simple—you'll also need a Nether Star from defeating the Wither. Once crafted and placed, the cursed torch will begin to summon waves of guard skeletons. Each kill powers up the torch, and after defeating 20 guards (5 levels), the torch vanishes and the boss battle begins in a custom-built arena.

Skeleton King Abilities & Second Phase

The Skeleton King uses several brutal attacks, including a Mini Skeleton Horde, lightning strikes, and the Fire Prison trap that surrounds players in a deadly blaze. When near death, the Skeleton King enters Phase II—transforming his sword into a crossbow, summoning damaging bats, and regenerating health via a floating eye. Destroy that eye with projectiles to deal massive damage and stop his healing.

Reward: Skeleton Sword

Defeat the Skeleton King, and he drops the powerful Skeleton Sword, dealing 10 base damage and capable of summoning four loyal skeletons to fight by your side. These skeletons don’t carry splash damage potions, so they’re safe allies to bring into battle.
