Tinkers' Construct addon
Addons / Addons for 1.21.81 / 1.20.62 20.05.24 0
I'll be honest - when I first heard about Tinker's Construct, I thought "Why would I want to make tool crafting MORE complicated?" But after spending hours with this addon, I completely get it. This isn't just complexity for complexity's sake - it's genuinely fun and rewarding in a way that vanilla crafting never was.
The whole workflow is incredibly satisfying. You start with a Blank Pattern, create stencils at the Stencil Table, build parts at the Part Builder, then assemble everything at the Tool Station. It sounds complicated, but it feels like you're actually engineering tools rather than just following recipes.

Thank goodness for the in-game guide! The crafting system is so different from vanilla that you absolutely need it, but it's well-written and explains everything step by step. I kept it open constantly during my first few sessions.

Different materials give tools different properties, and you can mix and match components to create exactly what you need. Want a super durable pickaxe handle with a fast-mining head? You can do that.
I won't lie - there's definitely a learning curve. The first few tools took me forever to figure out, and I made plenty of mistakes. But once you understand the workflow, it becomes second nature.

The Guide Book is Essential

- The Lumberaxe completely changed how I approach tree farming - it cuts down entire trees in one go. The Excavator digs 3x3 areas instantly, making mining so much more efficient. The Hammer is perfect for large construction projects.
- The Broadsword and Longsword feel completely different from vanilla swords, and the Cleaver is an absolute beast for dealing with tough mobs. Each weapon has its own feel and purpose.
- The Casting Table and Casting Basin setup makes you feel like you're running an actual foundry. Melting ores into liquid metal, then casting them into parts or blocks - it's so much more engaging than just throwing items in a furnace.
- The Crafting Station looks different but works similarly to vanilla crafting tables. The Tool Forge opens up advanced crafting for high-tier materials. Having dedicated stations for each step makes the whole process feel organized and professional.
